The company was incorporated as a private limited liability company in 1951. It became a Public limited Liability Company in 1978 and its share capital is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The company was formed principally for the marketing of petroluem products. Petroleum products the Company sells include; Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Diesel, Aviation fuel, Kerosene and Lubricants.
